When Holley and Andrew chose JuneBug Retro Resort for their wedding, they picked a venue that perfectly matched their fun and relaxed vibe. Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains near Asheville, NC, JuneBug offers a unique blend of natural beauty and vintage charm. At times their wedding day felt more like a lively party than a traditional, creating memories that will last a lifetime!


JuneBug Retro Resort stands out for its stunning location and distinctive features. The property sits secluded with a half-mile of river winding through the heart of the resort. This natural waterway adds a peaceful soundtrack to the day and creates a feeling of being far from the everyday world. It's also a sweet spot to chill after a long day of hiking, just hop in a hammock and get your toes wet! Despite its secluded atmosphere, downtown Asheville is less than 20 minutes away, making it easy for guests to explore the city before or after the celebration.


What truly sets JuneBug apart are the retro campers scattered across the grounds. These 1950s trailers have been lovingly restored, each painted in bright, cheerful colors. They add a playful, nostalgic touch that fits perfectly with Holley and Andrew’s laid-back style. The campers also provide fantastic backdrops for photos, blending old-school charm with the natural beauty of the area


One of the most memorable moments of the day was Holley and Andrew’s first look! Instead of a typical setting, they chose the resort’s treehouse. This unique spot offered a cozy, intimate space fully immersed by nature. The treehouse’s rustic wood and leafy views created a magical atmosphere for their private moment. Their chemistry was clear from the start. They shared playful smiles and laughter, but also a deep connection that anyone nearby could feel. This mix of fun and intimacy set the tone for the rest of the day, making it clear that their wedding was going to be something special. Like we alluded to earlier, the wedding ceremony and reception felt more like a big party with close friends and family. Guests enjoyed the relaxed vibe, mingling freely and soaking in the beautiful surroundings. As the sun began to set, Holley and Andrew took advantage of the golden hour light to capture some stunning portraits around the resort. These photos perfectly captured the couple’s joyful spirit and the beauty of their surroundings. It was easily one of our favorite from this past fall, and definitely one that we won't forget!
