The Peacock Inn at Catawba Farms - Wedding Venue

Jenny and I recently had the pleasure of working with an amazing couple in Katie & Adam. What made the day all the more special was we decided earlier in the year that we wanted to to give back by donating our wedding photography services absolutely free for one lucky couple though we had no idea how we were going to do it. When we were in the initial stages of talking to Katie and Adam, we were delighted to find out that their wedding day was going to be on our five year anniversary and then it hit us! What better way to honor our marriage than to share our gift with another couple on their special day. It was our first time shooting at The Peacock Inn at Catawba Farms in Newton, NC and we could not have been more pleased with the entire day. Not only were we excited to be there for Katie and Adam but we always enjoy the opportunity to shoot at new venues! We started off in the reception area getting some detailed shots and it was absolute elegance. The canary yellow was a beautiful compliment to the navy blue!

We had an hour until the ceremony started and before you knew it, the ladies and the guys were ready. We soon made our way outside to explore more of the property of The Peacock Inn. The setting for the ceremony was a beautiful outdoor gazebo set right in front of a farm style white fence with horses roaming about. It framed Katie & Adam perfectly!

We were so fortunate in that the rain blew over from earlier in the day and the ceremony was flawless. When we returned inside for the first dance, the natural light from the windows softly lit the dance floor as Adam and Katie danced for the first time as husband and wife. We can't say enough about the lighting for the indoor part of the ceremony, simply beautiful!

When you have a Peacock Inn wedding, you also get the added benefit of having set up decorations, catering, and coordination for day off included. Not to mention a fun little bar tucked away from the rest of the reception area if you need to get away for some cold brews and little quiet conversation and speaking from experience (now), the food is amazing, and the staff was very professional. Even one of the owners Twyla could be found serving guests behind the bar and mixing and mingling throughout the day making sure everything went smooth.

As the day started to wind down, we were able to sneak Adam and Katie outside for some beautiful sunset photos on the other side of the property and boy the timing could not have been better. The sky was amazing, the couple so in love, throw in some horses on property in the background and you have yourself a perfect wedding day!

Katie and Adam's wedding at the Peacock Inn was special all around and even more so to us with it being our 5 year anniversary. I guess you could say love was in the air! Congratulations to Katie and Adam and we cannot wait to come visit The Peacock Inn again!
