Spring time mountain elopements in North Carolina hold a special place in our hearts! The temps are starting to warm just a bit, the landscape slowly shifts from brown to green, and of course spring elopement season! One of our favorites from this spring was Leah and Mason’s adventure elopement session at Hawksbill Mountain Trail! Leah reached out, about a month prior to their elopement session and told us a little bit about her and Mason, and how they were just married at the courthouse! It was apparent from the get go Leah and Mason were yearning for something more adventurous and true to who they were! After getting to know them on the long strenuous hike up Hawksbill, it made perfect sense as these two shared many of their adventures and travels throughout their lives. The more we learned, the more we felt like Hawksbill was the perfect choice for these two!
For those of you who have never been, we always refer to Hawksbill as THE best mountain view spot in all of North Carolina. The views and scenery at the pinnacle of the trail are surreal. It borders on the the line of feeling like a big mountain area or canyon that you might see out west. The effort needed to reach the top (heck even driving there for some people) makes it a deal breaker for a lot of people. We’ve had people just not physically want to chance it so for the times we’ve been up here, it really is a privilege and something we try not to take for granted. It’s a place we try to set aside a few minutes once we’re up top just for couples to site see and take it all in. Taking it all in is exactly what Leah and Mason did! These cuties were greeted by one of the most beautiful evenings we’ve experienced at Hawksbill. The light was great surprisingly early due to some well placed clouds and these two absolutely crushed it! Between the intimate gazes, soft touches, and epic scenery, Leah and Mason basically wrote the book for mountain top elopements on this perfect evening. It was a day none of us will soon forget, and one we hope you all enjoy following along on! Big congrats to Leah and Mason!
