When we first connected with Jordan and Billy about capturing their wedding, we knew from the get go that we were going to love working with these two! It was instant good vibes and we soon discovered these two were avid adventure seekers visiting many of the beautiful areas together throughout the country. Basically going to all of the amazing places we want to go when we’re not shooting! They did have some initial concerns about being able to make it out to the east coast for an engagement session but they were stoked when they found out we also work a good chunk of our year in Jackson Hole, WY. This helped us meet in the middle and we shot their engagement at The Grand Teton National Park. Much like our phone call with Jordan and Billy, it was instantly like hanging with two friends we had known for years. It only got better from there because these two absolutely crushed their engagement session! They had the cutest chemistry on camera and were nonstop laughs with a splash of romance! But don’t take our word for it, here are a few of our favorites photos from their engagement session.
Their engagement session further reinforced how much we adored these two and we could not wait until their wedding day which just so happened to be at one of our favorite wedding venues in North Carolina, The Vineyards at Betty’s Creek. This tranquil property is located an hour west of the always popular Asheville, NC in a small mountain town called Sylva, North Carolina. Nestled perfectly in the lush blue ridge mountains, this wedding venue boasts beautiful long range mountain views, vineyards, and gorgeous facilities that photograph just as well as they accommodate. It also happened to be at our favorite time of year here in WNC, fall! Of course you always hope for beautiful color for all of your fall wedding couples but you never known where it’s going to peak and fade and when during the season. Luckily for for Billy & Jordan and their guests, they were greeted with peak fall color in this region! It was a perfect fall day with soft light painting the landscape and beautiful fall tones popping at every corner! The highlight of the day for us was the reception. We already knew all of the pretty parts of their day were going to be amazing given our experience with these two and their amazing venue. What we didn’t know was how much their band rocked, how hard this crew would go, and that there were two versions of the no pants dance.
