Jenny and I recently had the opportunity to work at one of our favorite venues for the first time, Fines Creek Farm! This beautiful venue just west of downtown Asheville encompasses all the comforts of home, and more! We’re talking beautiful views overlooking the smoky mountain national park. An authentic and uniquely styled barn that serves as a perfect two story reception area. Perfectly architected attention to detail all throughout the property, and by far one some of the most genuine and helpful venue owners you will meet in Bob and Dianne. Of course our first time shooting at Fines Creek was going to be special. We were coordinating with Stephen who had booked a romantic evening for he and his soon to be fiancé Wendy at the cabin on the property. The plan was that he wanted to propose and then have us show up as a surprise for an engagement shoot! It was going to be perfect, but, the night before we had been hit suddenly with 7 inches of snow! Anyone who’s local to Asheville knows, we don’t deal too well with a lot of snow and 7 inches had most of the town shut down. Thankfully Bob, whom I mentioned earlier did some recon for us and determined that the roads were looking good! Just like that we were off! We arrived and Wendy and Stephen were all smiles! Maybe a little cold but still excited from the recent proposal! We introduced ourselves, went over the game plan, because hey, it was like 15 degrees out and snowing out, from there we started capturing the love between Stephen and Wendy and neither cold nor snow could cool these two off! Stephen and Wendy were naturals in front of the lens and as we got to know them we soon realized this BMX shredding duo was meant for each other! Stephen kept things lighthearted as he joked throughout the shoot and made Wendy smile (thanks Stephen!). After it was all said and done our toes, fingers, and faces were numb, but our hearts had been warmed by these two! Congratulations Stephen and Wendy and we know you will both have a beautiful wedding at Fines Creek Farm! Special thanks to Fines Creek Farm for letting us use their amazing venue! Now enough, blah, enjoy the pictures!
