Homewood Wedding: Anna + Evan

Though it feels like it’s been forever, (insert wedding season joke), 8 Sundays ago at Homewood in Asheville, we were a part of something so special! The weather was absolutely perfect! The wedding guests, family, and wedding party were all in great spirits! The groom was excited! The beautiful bride was full of happy tears! Basically no one was exempt from the feeling of this amazing wedding day! The planner Nikki and I joked that this day seemed to good to be true!

For us this journey started one evening a few months ago when we met with Evan and Anna for the first time at Highland Brewing Company! As we sat at the picnic table and got to know them both over a couple of cold brews, we immediately saw the loving connection between these two! We all laughed like old friends, told some silly stories, and of course talked wedding details. It’s safe to say we hit it off and at the end of the evening we were blessed with the opportunity to work with Evan and Anna for their special day!

Soon after we scheduled their engagement session at The Biltmore and as it sometimes does, the Biltmore had other plans that day (special event) and we were not able to access The Gardens and some of the other spots we had recently discussed when going over the vision for their engagement shoot. We had to make a game time decision to either re-schedule or go ahead and improvise. Thankfully, Anna and Evan decided to improvise on this perfectly lit day! The back of the property that day was a little low on foot traffic and the laid back vibe complimented these two perfectly. Evan and Anna kept each other laughing and smiling throughout our entire time together and by the time we were done hanging out (i.e. shooting lol) it felt like the time had just flown by. We rushed home to get these lovebirds a preview and were in LOVE with the way they loved each other!

As their wedding drew closer, it was almost time for Anna’s bridal session! Having already worked with Anna once, we knew she would be dynamite on camera! She showed up that day to do her bridal session at Homewood in Asheville, which was also her wedding venue and she looked A-mazing! Of course there’s always a little stress that comes with a bridal session, figuring out how to move around without getting too dirty, getting a bouquet, keeping hair intact, making sure your make up is on point, and thankfully with having both of us there as well as her sweet mother Martha, we were able to move around with ease and get Anna to and from without any issues! Anna rocked her bridal session and we finished our evening off an amazing sunset shot! It was so hard to hold on to these until now, but we are glad we finally get to share Anna’s gorgeous bridal photos with the rest of the world!

As we previously alluded to in the beginning of this blog, the magic of this wedding day was in the air and everyone present helped contribute something special. Now enough of us being wordy, we’ll let the visuals tell the rest of their love story!
