Over the course of the past year we had the pleasure of getting to capture Ashley & Anthony’s special moments! First, for their beautiful engagement session at Black Balsam Knob, and most recently for their wedding at Dixie Dreams in Monroe, NC, just outside of Charlotte. On both occasions these two were an absolute dream to work with! Besides being ridiculously photogenic, they are so easy going, and a ton of fun! For their engagement photos, Ashley and Anthony rocked it up in the mountains with us as we took in the views, shared some laughs and enjoyed a beautiful fiery sky for the sunset!
Just thinking about their couples photos and how in sync they were with each other, we knew we were going to be in for an awesome wedding day. That being said, almost nothing could’ve prepared us for how much fun we had getting to be a part of Ashley and Anthony’s special day! When we arrived, the threat of the rain was keeping everyone on their toes so we moved quickly and squeezed in what we could outside! Ashley’s bridesmaids kept everything fun and lively and the fellas did the same for Anthony! In fact, we cannot remember a single dull moment! One of our favorite moments at the beginning of the day was right after Ashley’s Dad just had his first look with Ashley. He was heading back to the groom’s cabin and there was a brief moment where he and Anthony saw each other before Anthony went down to the river to see Ashley for the first time. Her dad smiled and looked at Anthony and said “You’re a lucky man.” Just four little words, but it spoke volumes.
After a beautiful riverside ceremony, they took the celebration to the next level! One of the things that we found so refreshing and fun about Ashley and Anthony’s wedding was the music selection! With our schedules, we are blessed to be at a wedding just about every Saturday or Sunday and naturally, 3/4 of the songs you hear are the same every weekend. We are both guilty of being those people who like ‘a little bit of everything’ but we definitely enjoy country music and if memory serves us correctly, about 90% of the music at Ashley and Anthony’s wedding was country! Based on the way the evening unfolded, we’re pretty sure they would’ve had a great time to just about any music, but the playlist did add a little special something for sure!
When the night finally did come to an end, the way they wrapped it up could not have been more fitting! A circle of friends and family, arms around each other, swaying back and fourth to ‘friends in low places’! When it was all said and done, we were sad to see this one end! From the beautiful venue, to the non-stop good vibes, it was a celebration that no one in attendance will soon forget! Congratulations to Ashley and Anthony and as always, a special thanks to all of the amazing wedding vendors to helped to bring this day together!
