You may remember these lovely faces from from their adventurous engagement session earlier this year off the Blue Ridge Parkway! We had to wait a few months but Alex & Courtney’s wedding day finally arrived! We had warm sunny weather, 8,000 acres of amazing Biltmore property to explore and more of the same joy and laughter that had become synonymous with these two! Add in a hilarious bridal party that had us rolling from beginning to end and it safe to say, it was a pretty epic wedding day!
Probably one of our favorite parts of the wedding day (amongst many awesome moments!) was Alex and Courtney’s first look. With the timing, the lighting, and location of everyone, we decided on the day of that we would utilize the back of The Inn where Courtney and her bridesmaids were getting ready! It’s not usually the first spot most people unfamiliar with the Biltmore would think of, but for anyone whose explored the estate property thoroughly (we’ve had 3 years lol) you know that the back of The Inn at Biltmore has a beautiful open landscape complete with mountains and tree lines, or in other words, yes please! The blue skies added just the right amount of pop but it wasn’t all about the the scene for this special moment! It was about the excitement of Alex and Courtney getting to see each other for the first time on their wedding day! Alex’s expression said it all, but what made this moment even more fun was Courtney’s bridesmaid and family cheering from their window in the bridal suite probably a hundred yards away. Even though they were pretty far away, it was obvious they had their own cheering section as Courtney cracked up and smiled back!
The rest of their wedding day went much like you might expect! Of course we had to swing by the front of the estate to grab some shots with the house in the background! Courtney and Alex happily said their I dos in front of friends and family! Guests indulged in a delectable meal provided by the Biltmore, and before you knew it, the Emerald Empire Band was rocking the house while everyone got a little footloose!
