By far one of our favorite weddings this year has been Poppy and Bates’ classy soiree at The Crest Center and Pavilion! We got a nice preview of what their wedding day would be like the night before at their rehearsal dinner. Good vibes, good music, and plenty of laughs to go around! Besides being excited to work with Poppy and Bates again (they totally rocked their engagement) we were also excited as it was our first time getting to shoot at The Crest Center & Pavilion. In the recent years our team has actually shot there, but this was our first time personally and we knew from venue tours that it was going to be an amazing place to spend a wedding day! Poppy and her girls got ready in downtown Asheville and made their way to the Botanical Gardens for their bridesmaid photos. This time of year the gardens are in full bloom and they made for the perfect flowery backdrop for these lovely ladies! As Poppy and her bridesmaids worked the camera with ease, back at The Crest Center, we took Bates and his groomsmen around and about! After a solid Captain Morgan pose to get us started, it was pretty apparent that these fellas were ready to rock it!
For us, couples photos are always one of our favorite parts of any wedding day and these two were no exception, but Poppy and Bates’ ceremony was easily one of the highlights! While the facilities at the Crest Center and Pavilion are full of exquisite character and detail, the ceremony spaces provide stunning mountain views that serve as the perfect backdrop for any wedding!
The Emerald Empire Band ran away with the show from there! Poppy and Bates’ and all of their family and friends packed the dance floor all the way through the end of the night and whether it was EEP playing one of the infinite hits they know, or the Spice Girls in between sets, this crew knew how to rock it! The night seemingly flew by and as Poppy and Bates exited through a sea of sparklers, they put one last exclamation point on this amazing day with a kiss!
