When you hop on the highway from downtown Asheville and head west, you will soon find yourself surrounded by some of the most beautiful landscapes in North Carolina. Our journey on this day starts there or the WNC area as we call it! If you head that way about an hour and keep your eye out for Betty’s Creek Road, you will soon find yourself at one of the most beautiful wedding venues in the Western North Carolina area, The Vineyards at Betty’s Creek. Tucked away off a quiet mountain road, The Vineyards at Betty’s Creek has a little something for everybody. It’s one of the few wedding venues where you get long range mountain views accompanied by the elegance of and romance of vineyards and cottages. Throw in a totally in love couple, their fun family & friends, awesome wedding vendors, and the perfect fall weather this region is known for and you start to paint a picture of Katie & Paul’s wedding day!
We first connected with Katie and Paul about a year prior! After finishing up a wedding in the Greenville, SC area we were checking our email on the trip home and were stoked to have just received an inquiry for an October wedding in 2017. We soon found ourselves on the phone with Paul and Katie talking about the vision for their wedding day! After the call that lasted most of our trip home, we felt like everything was a great fit. Katie and Paul must have too because soon after our call we were blessed with the amazing news that they wanted us to capture their big day!
Their wedding day was everything you dream of as a wedding photographer. We had a wonderful couple whose playful passion showed up perfectly on camera! They were surrounded by a large group of family and friends, many of whom made the trip all the way from California (can you say plenty of candid captures!?)! The light on this day was as good as it gets! All the wedding pros present truly collaborated to make this day perfect! And did we mention sweet dance moves? As with every wedding we are a part of, there’s something you fall in love with when it comes to each and every one of them, every couple, venue, day, weather, etc. lends itself to something fun and unique, but we can truly say we loved everything about this wedding and we were stoked to be a part of this celebration!
