Memory Mountain at Wolf Laurel Wedding: A + J

We hold this one near and dear to our hearts! At this point in the year, we’re usually 15-20 weddings deep and have already been a part of capturing so many special memories. This year obviously had other plans but not before Aimee and Jamie’s wedding at Memory Mountain at Wolf Laurel! For those of you who haven’t been to this wedding venue just outside of Asheville, it is full of so much character! The owner Steve and his family have put a lot effort into making this a secluded slice of paradise. It lends itself perfectly to destination weddings with many convenient options on site for lodging. We even stayed there with 30+ family members a couple Thanksgivings ago and not once did we feel cramped. The collection of antiques around the property, especially near their Barn Event Center set the scene for a fun day, not to mention so many conversation starters! There are multiple location options for wedding ceremonies but in our experience the most popular has been their Hitching Post Pavilion, which is also where Aimee and Jamie said their I dos! The mood on their wedding day was a mix of nerves and excitement. I would say 10% nerves and 90% excitement from our vantage point. Aimee and Jamie’s friends and families were a laugh riot all throughout their entire day! Throw in a little DJ P-LO for their reception and it was impossible not to have a great time on their special day! By far one of our favorite moments of their wedding day was Aimee and Jamie’s first look. They decided to include their family into their first look and it really did make for one of the sweetest reactions. Aimee wowed them all but none quite as much as Jamie as he wiped away happy tears shortly after seeing his beautiful bride. (so sweet!) It was one of those sweet moments where we can’t help but smile thinking about it now as we sit here and write. We hope these lovelies will bring a smile to your face to as you follow along on their wedding day!
